DueFox FAQ

DueFox is a Shopify app for wholesale merchants: net terms invoices, payment reminders and an aging report. See DueFox on the Shopify App Store.

Does DueFox work without Shopify Plus?

Yes. DueFox works on any Shopify plan that includes B2B companies, which is every paid plan: Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus. You do not need Plus. Partial payments work on every plan too: record what a buyer pays and DueFox keeps the balance open until it is paid in full.

Will DueFox email my wholesale buyers without asking me?

Payment reminders are automatic and are on by default. Once a day DueFox sends the reminder that is due for each open invoice with a due date: 3 days before, on the due date, and 3, 7 and 14 days after. You can switch reminders off at any time under Settings, then Payment reminders.

Can I edit the reminder wording?

Yes. Under Settings, then Payment reminders, then Email wording, you can change the subject and message of each reminder, preview it, and reset it to the default. You can use placeholders for the buyer's name, the order number, the amount due, the due date and your store name. The win back and check in emails can be edited too.

What happens when a buyer pays part of an invoice?

Record the amount as a partial payment. The invoice shows as partly paid, the balance stays open, and reminders ask only for what is still owed. Each payment is kept in the invoice history with its date, method and reference. When the balance reaches zero, the invoice is marked paid.

Does the order show as paid in Shopify?

Once an invoice is paid in full, DueFox marks the order as paid in Shopify. If the buyer pays through Shopify's payment link and Shopify marks the order paid, DueFox closes the invoice on its own.

While a balance is still open after a partial payment, Shopify keeps showing the order as payment pending, because Shopify cannot record a partial offline payment on an order. Invoices that came from a CSV have no Shopify order behind them, so there is nothing to update in Shopify.

Can I import older wholesale orders?

Yes. When you install DueFox it reads your past wholesale orders from Shopify automatically, the last 60 days by default, or your whole order history if you approve the extra all orders permission Shopify asks for. Anything older than that, or orders that never went through Shopify, can be imported from a CSV file with Import past orders from a CSV on the Home page.

How do I get help?

Email [email protected]. The same small team that builds DueFox answers. Tell us your store address and what you were trying to do.
